Our Staff

Striking Talon

  • Role: Proprietress and Brewmaster

  • Favorite Drink: Gin Dragoons

  • About: Striking Talon has two sides, one is a kindhearted barkeeper and the sole proprietress of a calm, and protected Rhalgr's Rest. The other? A pit fighting, crude, crass and downright brutal bully. She's here to clown you, your friends, and make you laugh about it. She lives to rag on others, and provide them with an experience in hedonism and fun.

The Major General

  • Role: Major General

  • Favourite Drink: Water

  • About: Defies Description. Beyond mortal comprehension. To know him is to know the divine. To witness him is to witness perfection. The Major General is everything that ever was, everything that is, and everything that ever will be. Your mortal flesh could not withstand his touch, so it is best to let him remain in his place, watching over us all, that we may bask in his presence and know peace. Rumor has it he is hidden in the Grunge Pit somewhere...but no one has found him yet.

Each fighter is afforded THREE (3) 'Ace's up their sleeve'. Aces are single use only, and do not reset if you win a match while entered in a tournament. Aces do not expire between bouts, and can be carried up until your final match in a tourney. Use them wisely. Lastly, Aces must be called before an attack or defense roll as specified.Certain attack and defense aces can be used in conjuction with one another. IE: Wide Open + Precision attack. They must be declared at the same time or they will not be applied. An Ace can be invoked through words, or as a physical card that imparts a burst of Aether that you hold on your person, players choice. Once it is invoked, the ACE is used up and cannot be re-used unless specified.List of Available AcesLights Out : When activated, the lights in the Arena go out through the usage of magic for one turn of combat. The fighter that Activates it can see through the darkness. The Fighter using Lights out attacks using two /random rolls, taking the higher of the two, and the defender defends as normal. This effect lasts 1-3 rounds determined by /random 3.Potion: Forfeit your attack roll this round, remove one hit from your hit counter.Counter Ace: This ace can be activated in response to another Ace’s usage, it counters the opposing users Ace nullifying it. A counter-ace can also be used in response to an opposing counter-ace, nullifying both counters and leaving the original played Ace in effect.Action Surge : This ace can be activated on an attacking turn, and allows you to make two attack actions instead of one. Afterwards, the user of this ace is stunned for 1 round and cannot make an attacking action, and defends at disadvantage rolling /random twice and using the lower for their defense.Precision Attack: This Ace is is called while an attack is being made, and adds a value of +200 to the rolled attack, making it more accurate. Welcome to The Grunge Pit, where drunks who throw fists and bullets test their mettle for Prestige, Rewards, and Adoration inside of our humble little cage. How to fight!
We use Grindstone rules for combat itself which are as follows.
1. Each player needs to roll ‘initiative’. They both type /random, the highest number goes first.2. From there, the attacker types out their attack emote and rolls.3. Then the defender rolls. If the Attackers roll is higher than defenders, the attack succeeds.Conversely, if the Attackers roll is LOWER than the Defenders roll, the attack will miss/glance (however you flavor it is your choice.)4. Defender types their defense or lack thereof, and follow up with an attack of their own followed by an attack roll. This process continues until...5. First person to take three hits is out.

This menu is a secret, if you know, you know.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Magitech Mayhem
A burbling blue drink made of some secret concoction that proprietress Striking Talon keeps secret. Some days she says its ceruleum, other days she says it’s a mish mash of unrefined alcohols straight from the barrels with chemicals for show. The truth of the matter is still unknown. What is known is that the drink frequently knocks patrons unconscious if they are lucky, but more often has them rolling on the floor wishing it would all just stop. The taste is rancid, not unakin to eating a fouled fruit. The brave drink it, the stupid love it, the smart avoid it.(Must roll a /random above 777 to avoid the negative affects of the drink, including but not limited to hallucinations, extreme vertigo, slurred speech, random casts of spells due to unstable aether, and in the worst cases complete loss of consciousness for random periods of time. Effects tend to wear off after an hour.)

***Earworm ***A shot of Tequila with a selectively bred species of psychoactive worm on the bottom of the glass. Ingestion of the worm causes the drinker to sing their favorite song without fail every time. Recommended to prank your friends with, or if you’ve got a pretty voice you want everyone to hear.

Crywolf CocktailA special alchemical drink created by Talon that forces those who consume it to compulsively tell lies of the utmost absurdity for an hour. The drink is a devilish shade of red and is nothing but a frufru strawberry vodka based cocktail on the outside. On the inside its much worse. HOWEVER, what makes this drink so devilish...? If you have a propensity to lie, the opposite becomes true and you begin to be brutally honest about everything.

Holminster’s SwitchNobody likes Holminster switch, but if you ever wanted to know what it was like to be the opposite gender for a few hours, Talon has crafted a dangerous alchemical brew. The exact recipe is unknown, though speculation has it that it’s a bootlegged fantasia potion. Ingestion causes the user to shift into their opposite sex.

Raced UpCriminy, the woman’s come up with another bootlegged version of a fantasia. Ingestion of this alchemical brew causes the users race to shift into another at random. The potion itself tastes like very sweet dirt and leaves behind a gritty mouthfeel.(use the command ‘/random 7’… 1= Hyur, 2 = Hrothgar, 3 = Lalafell , 4 = Miqo’te, 5 = Roegadyn, 6 = Viera, 7 = Au Ra.)

Doctor Feel GoodThis drink borders the fine line between drug and not. Talon has a strict no drug policy with everything that she makes and ingests. Born from the want to create a non-addictive substance that can be used in moderation or excess, Doctor Feel Good was born. The drink itself is a floral Jasmine and Sakura blossom tea that has been steeped with a proprietary blend of aphrodesiacs, leaves of plants with depressant properties, and a touch of honey. The resulting feeling is often described as 'momentary bliss'. A wash of relief from every worry or fear on the mind, and yet the want to be hugged, touched, and snuggled upon. Some go even further and use it for more risque business, but she never asks about it.

Sin-EaterA green and luminous shot of concentrated Aether. Don’t ask where it came from. Don’t ask how it was made into liquid form. In fact, don’t ask questions. This doesn’t need a description.
